The Strange Jealousy of Watching Healthy People Waste Their Bodies

I don’t want anyone else’s life. Sometimes I just want the freedom they don’t even realize they have.

Here is something people living with chronic illness are apparently supposed to be too evolved to admit: sometimes I am jealous of healthy people.

Not inspired by them. Not happy for them. Not patiently waiting for the inspirational lesson hiding inside my resentment. Jealous.
