Apathy can leave my values intact while disconnecting them from the internal ignition that turns caring into action.
If you filmed apathy, the footage would be useless. A man sits on a couch. A phone goes unanswered. A project remains where he left it. Nothing dramatic happens, which is exactly why everybody watching believes they understand what happened.
He did not try. He lost interest. He got lazy. He decided not to care.
