This Privacy Policy explains how Defiant Truths and The Defiant Few, operated by Richie Pikunis (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use the website and membership services.
1. Information we collect
Membership and sign-in information. When you join or sign in, we may receive your name, email address, selected plan, membership status, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, trial end date, and billing-period information. Sign-in services may also provide your display name and verified email address.
Payment information. Stripe processes payment-card and transaction information. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code.
Communications. If you email Richie, we receive the information contained in your message and the address you use to send it.
Technical information. Hosting, security, and authentication providers may automatically process information such as IP address, browser and device type, timestamps, requested pages, and basic diagnostic or security logs.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to operate the website; start, bill, and manage memberships; verify access to members-only content; send service, payment, or account messages; respond to requests; prevent fraud and misuse; maintain security; comply with law; and improve the Services.
3. How information is shared
We may share information with service providers that help run the Services, including Stripe for payment processing and billing, and providers of hosting, authentication, email, database, and security services. These providers may process information only for their services and under their own legal obligations.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a business transfer, or with your direction or consent. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
4. Cookies and local storage
The site does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers. It uses browser session storage to remember when you dismiss The Defiant Few invitation during that browsing session. Supabase uses essential authentication cookies or local storage to keep members securely signed in. Stripe and hosting providers may use similar technology when necessary to provide their services.
5. Stripe
Stripe processes payment and transaction information under its own privacy practices and may help detect fraud and prevent financial loss. Learn more in Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
6. Data retention
We retain membership, account, transaction, and communication records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Information may be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with your membership, or object to certain uses, by emailing richiepikunis@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to receive a copy of your data or appeal a decision about a privacy request.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained when required for billing, tax, fraud prevention, security, or other legal purposes.
8. Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Paid membership is limited to adults who can enter a binding agreement.
9. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Links and third-party services
The website links to third-party sites and services. Their collection and use of information are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
